This assignment was all about being dramatic and incorpoating imagery. I had to choose a short memory and write all about it in three pages. I learned how to use figurative languages in different ways that keeps the story interesting. I normally don't like writing about myself, I actually enjoyed writing this essay. I got a 92 on this, and if I could re write this so i could get 100, I would work on the organization of the essay. I tend to have some trouble with organization.

In this assignment I had to write with no opinion being shown. I had to show both sides of an argument and it had to be strong and show no bias. This was a difficult assignment for me. I learned that I should have worked on it more and wrote more things that made sense. If I could re do this, I would re do the whole thing. My organization and conclusion was poorly done. My arguments weren't strong, so I should have done more research. My language was really bad and usually it's really good. I got a 78 on this, but I'm redoing this so hopefully I get an A.

This essay was really interesting. I had to argue why Individualism was better than Collectivism. At first, I didn't understand what I was suppose to write about. However, as I did more research, I found that there are a plethora of ways that people define Individualism and Collectivism. I learned about myself and how i defined those two terms. If I could re write this I would, make my arguments better and organized. I would also make the introduction better.
hARRISON BERGERSON SPES

I had to summarize the story "Harrison Bergerson". The story was about total equality and exaggerated the idea of it. I always had the idea that our world should be treated equally and to have total equality. However, after reading this story, I learned that there are practical reasons why we can't have total equality. If I could redo the SPES, I would probably put more Information and explain it better.

This poem was part of a big project. The project was all about who you are as a person, and how you express yourself. I learned a lot about myself, for this project made me think about me and my future. It made me realize that I don't know what I want to do in my life.
even though I don't know what I want to do with my life in the future, It doesn't keep me from having fun. If I were to re do this poem, I would take out the "yin and yang" at the end because it's random and useless. I would also organize it better so it doesn't seem like a bunch of words thrown together.

RIts dissusion board
The assignment was to write a paragraph on if I liked the book, and how it relates to life right now and it's experiences. I learned that everyone lives differently, and not everyone has the same opportunities as people do nowadays. The book did a great job of displaying the hard work made to achieve goals. I wouldn't do anything differently to this assignment, since I got and 100. I would check my spelling and change "aLays" to "always".
romeo and juliet literary terms
In this assignment I had to look up terms and define them, and show how examples to the story of "Romeo and Juliet". It took a lot of time but it did help me better understand the terms. It also helped me prepare for the test. I got an 100 on this and I was proud because other people didn't do as well as me. I wouldn't alter this assignment since my hard work got a good grade.
hills like white elephants annotations
This was my favorite piece of literature that we read in this class. I loved this story so much, with the extended metaphors and how it was difficult for some people to interpert. We had to read and annotate this stoy alone and I was really interested. I understood most of it, but after we read alone, the whole class helped analyze the story. I wrote everything down that Mr. turley said. I learned how to use context clues and to read in between the lines to figure out the true meaning of the text. I wouldn't do anything different if I were to approach this assignment again.
general analysis of writing
My writing style has come a long way. English has always been one of my strongest skills. When I was younger I would always get the highest grades on essays, and written assignments. I love to use intelligent vocabulary words when I write. The thesaurus is my best friend when It comes to writing an essay. I would say vocabulary is one of my strong suits. Also, whenever I write an essay I try not to be too repetitive, but just enough to get the message across. That would also be one of my strengths. I think my sentence structure is also one of my strengths. I can make a simple sentence into something more extravagant. However, I think organization is a weakness. On my essays I have done this year, my score on organization is really low. I do see how I can improve, for sometimes I will just state random sentences, that will be from different topics. Another weakness I need to work on is my conclusions. To this day, I still have trouble coming up with a clever conclusion. I have definitely improved in description and using imagery to create a great writing piece. I am more experienced with words and sentences, so I use that to my advantage when writing. My goals for the future is to go to the next level with how I describe and explain things. I want my imagery to be mind blowing and high level when I write. I want it to seem like I'm a professional writer.
reflection on english honors
I started this course knowing that it would be challenging. I heard that the teacher would be a tough grader, and they weren't wrong. However, I've pulled through and made it through the course. I've made it through all the vocabulary and DLP quizzes, that wouldn't do me justice. Although I did learn so much about grammar this past year, I didn't do so good on the quizzes. We read a bunch of literature, some that I was really interested in, and others not so much. My favorite would be Hill like White Elephants and my least favorite would have to be Romeo and Juliet. I was disappointed in myself because I found Romeo and Juliet to be boring. It one of the harder texts to understand, and I didn't have any interest. I simply could not see how it was one of the best love stories in history. Throughout the semester I got to hear my peers thoughts on books we read through the infamous talking day. I would hear different views on a topic, and sometimes it could help better my understanding on the topic. I made it through all the class work that the students would complain so much about. I never complained, for I got good grades on them, while others weren't so lucky. Overall, english was never a boring, for something interesting always happened in that class. Whether it was the topic we learned about or a funny remark someone made, it never failed to make class amusing.
